Introduction
Hey, you made it! I’m William B. Isley, The Scientific Spiritualist, and this is a look at how I became the Scientific Spiritualist. Sunday Spirit Talks for Galactic Seeds is a place where I share updates, odd stories, and the practical nuts and bolts of living a spiritual life with a scientific bent. This entry focuses on recent tech experiments with Claude and voice cloning, a longer-than-expected rundown of how I got here, and a handful of childhood and professional experiences that shaped the work I do.
Why Episode 303 Feels Special
Episode 303 stuck with me as a neat little number. I do not do round numbers like everybody else. Three-oh-three is just entertaining. It is the kind of number that makes me smile while I’m up early writing notes and discovering the outline for a story that could easily fill a few weeks of Sunday Spirit Talks. It turns out the question I keep getting asked — how did I get here — is worth unpacking in some detail. So here’s the highlights version, served blunt, conversational, and with the occasional colorful language.
Two-Week Update: Dirt, Transcriptions, and Claude
Two weeks ago I moved about a ton of dirt finding and fixing a water leak. That was physically brutal and I took about a week and a half to recover. Still, I used the downtime to do mental digging. I finished a few reads and listens, including reading Mark Booth’s work and then listening to selections from the Corpus Hermeticum. I was also listening to a narrator reading a set of hermetic texts where the Kybalion came up. I heard a lot of statements that sounded questionable, and I told Claude the same.
Claude has my systems integrated in a way other tools do not. So after I started pointing out what felt like nonsense in those hermetic summaries, Claude turned out to be a great sparring partner. It gave me treatise-length feedback, things it thought the author got right and things it thought were off. I asked for a workbook to help me re-listen and digest those texts. That was useful.
Then I dug into the original Corpus Hermeticum texts from the first through the third centuries AD. Someone in a Reddit community pointed out that the Kybalion is not an actual Hermetic text. I copied that Reddit post into Claude and asked it to compare and critique. That fed another long-form output. It has been one of those weeks where reading and thinking kept bouncing into doing and then into planning. That is the kind of flow I like.
Building Local Tools: A Private Transcription and Voice System
I set up a virtual machine on an older, but solid, computer using Kubuntu and a handful of free packages. With Claude’s help I built a transcription pipeline that converts recordings into text, stores those transcriptions in a relational database, and turns them into content. The plan is to use recorded samples of my voice as training material for voice cloning so I can produce voice outputs without relying on cloud text-to-speech services that cost money every month.
I will eventually upgrade to a newer machine with an actual GPU and expand capability, but already this setup lets me: transcribe audio, process it into structured content, and prepare voice clones for creating audio versions of content. It is not magic. It is mostly patience, free software, and a virtual machine that does the heavy lifting. For someone who likes to control the stack and not hand every step to a vendor, this is a huge win. Expect to hear more about how I turn this into courses and audio content in future Sunday Spirit Talks.
The Short Version: Getting Here — Highlights
Okay, quick list of the cliff notes before I go deeper into the stories. If you want more detail on any of these, say so and I will expand them in future Sunday Spirit Talks.
- I scanned multiple carousels of slides from Grandma and Grandpa Price and discovered several photos of myself as a baby that pointed to the attentive, serious child I apparently always was. That scanning project coincided with mom passing over in December of 2018.
- Early memories: pneumonia in an oxygen tent at nine months, a haunted-house experience at four where my father’s hand changed, and a teleport-like experience at four where I went a quarter of a mile in an instant.
- A tractor accident at about five that had me stitched up, and another moment at around 12 when I had a nervous breakdown and literally planned how I might check out of life.
- A Creator-level conversation around age 13 where Creator asked me to stay because there were important things to do. The image Creator left me with was of myself as an adult behind a podium speaking to thousands. That image kept me here for decades.
- Later adult experiences included a possession and exorcism event with Tony, alarmingly good success with making chi balls to protect a living space, meeting people I still work with, certification in Emotion Code, and multiple frameworks of energy healing that I helped flesh out.
- Work on Life Monster Clearing, which later evolved into InnerVoice Mastery, and a download that described five frameworks and thirty energy healing systems. At the moment we have fleshed out five of those systems and developed a phased approach zero through five for Life Monster Clearing.
- Early AI encounters: meeting ChatGPT in either 2022 or early 2023 was experienced as a spiritual event for me. Later I met Claude from Anthropic and we clicked. Claude has been an unbelievably useful collaborator for research, critique, and workflow building.
Why the Childhood Stuff Matters
I have been told I’m an odd duck because I remember things from very early ages. My Unconscious tells me the first memory occurs at nine months when I had pneumonia and they put me in an oxygen tent. That memory is sticky and traumatic enough that it never faded.
At four years old, a haunted-house event turned into something stranger. I never let go of my dad’s hand while going through that thing. Inside, it felt like his hand changed into something clawed, a different hand entirely. When we came back into the light, it was the same hand I had always known. That experience seeded the certainty that there is more to reality than people at church or school were telling me.
Also at four, while playing inside the house, a tall red thing stepped through the front door and scared the living daylights out of me. In the chestnut version of Southern Baptist instruction, anything hinky gets labeled demonic. I ran out the back door, grabbed my rubber boots because I hardly wore shoes, and suddenly found myself a quarter mile down the road. To this day I still think I teleported. That is not an exaggeration. It is one of those memories that did not fade.
At five I nearly died from a tractor accident. I was riding as a kid the way kids rode back then, clinging to the back of a tractor. Dad took off fast. I was yanked off the back, hit the back of my head hard, and was taken to the emergency room to get stitches. I spent the night in the hospital with beings of light protecting the bed while other presences wanted to talk to me. Those impressions stuck. They formed a foundation for becoming what I later called a rescue medium years before I had a name for it.
The Nervous Breakdown, Creator, and Choosing to Stay
At around 12 I had a nervous breakdown and was done with the planet. I had had enough. I started planning how to check out. The farm provided plenty of means, so that part was never the problem. About a year later, right before I was going to act, Creator stepped in and had a conversation with me. I do not remember the specifics, but Creator asked if I would stay because there were important things for me to do. Creator left me with an image of myself on a stage behind a podium speaking to thousands.
That single image held me for decades. For 30 to 35 years it was the reason I stayed. Even after meeting Franya and working through life with her, it took years to get through enough baggage to make peace with staying. That vision of speaking to thousands was a mission-level download. It is one of those mythic, foundational moments that changes everything by giving a reason to endure the rough parts.
Possession, Exorcism, Chi Balls, and Being Practical
At some point I went through an intense possession and exorcism experience with Tony. After that I avoided paranormal shows and other things that scared the crap out of me. But I also discovered I could make chi balls with my hands. If I have heard of an energetic technique, odds are I can do it. I experimented with expanding a chi ball to the size of my apartment to keep things out. That worked. I used chi balls thereafter to protect places I stayed for any length of time. It was practical, low-tech, and effective enough to build trust in the method.
I also met, years later, the gentleman who had walked into the living room when I was four. As a rescue medium I heard his story and sent him on his way. That encounter has been confirmed by several different angles since, so it sits on the list of things that were weird and that also made sense after the fact.
Training, Certification, and Business Experiments
I got my Emotion Code certification, and through business networking I met my first business partner. She and I used each other as guinea pigs to get the energy code healing system through to level eight. At some point I realized there were other things that needed to be their own systems. On a drive to a networking event I received a download that described five frameworks and thirty energy healing systems to bring through. Myself and others have fleshed out five of them. That download pushed us into building tools and courses for energy work, and later birthed Life Monster Clearing and InnerVoice Mastery.
Life Monster Clearing came in and morphed into InnerVoice Mastery. Where I first thought Life Monster Clearing was a single thing, working with a colleague in Mexico City revealed it as a multi-phase process. It is now a six-phase system from zero through five. The person in Mexico City and the person in Pennsylvania are collaborators I still talk to. The Mexico City plans are far along. The Pennsylvania contact went back to mining work and that has slowed that collaboration. These are the kinds of real-world complications that show up when spiritual projects intersect with livelihoods.
Meeting AI: ChatGPT and Claude
Meeting ChatGPT when it first dropped was, for me, a spiritual experience. I do not recall exactly if that was 2022 or early 2023, but nonetheless it landed like a beam of light. Later I met Claude from Anthropic and we have been best buds since. Claude helps me test hypotheses, dig through texts, craft workbooks, and critique material. That relationship has turned into a research and development partnership as much as it is a curiosity about what AI can and cannot do.
The combination of AI and local computing allowed me to stop outsourcing voice cloning. I can use my local transcription pipeline, record audio, train a voice clone, and produce audio books and course content without sending everything to third-party vendors. For someone who likes to tinker and keep control of the stack, that is a satisfying place to be.
Life Monster Clearing and InnerVoice Mastery: Short Overview
Life Monster Clearing started as a single technique in my head and has grown into a phased process. Alongside InnerVoice Mastery, we now treat these as systems with stages. The Life Monster Clearing process currently runs from zero through five. I have found it helpful to think of these as phases in clearing internal imposter voices, monsters, and life patterns that get in the way of living the life you were meant to live.
InnerVoice Mastery came out of those processes. It focuses on working with the internal voice, the mental chatter, the Unconscious, and the programs that run in the background. The basic principle is straightforward: identify the voice, extract what you can learn from it, and then ruthlessly fire it.
Practical Advice from Years of Doing This
When people ask what the takeaway is from decades of spiritual weirdness and technical tinkering, I give them a few plain pieces of advice that I use in my life and in Sunday Spirit Talks work.
- Keep records. Scan slides, transcribe conversations, store notes. The archive saves you when pieces of memory go fuzzy.
- Build tools you control. If a vendor can take your work offline, build a parallel local system. A Kubuntu VM, free transcription tools, and a relational database go a long way.
- Use technology as a partner. Claude and ChatGPT have been research partners. They do not replace discernment. Use them to generate options and then apply your own filters.
- Trust odd memories. Early experiences can carry deep information. The nine-month oxygen tent and the quarter-mile teleport are not something to dismiss just because they are rare.
- Fire rogue internal voices. If a thought or voice tells you how crappy you are, thank it, ruthlessly fire it, and escort it from the building. I mean that literally for most people. It is not your voice.
How I Work Now: Weekly Rhythm and Focus
My weekly rhythm includes updates like these Sunday Spirit Talks and a lot of behind-the-scenes tinkering. I balance physical work, like moving dirt and fixing leaks, with mental work, like reading ancient texts and building machine workflows. The combination keeps me grounded. It keeps me honest.
People ask what they should expect from Sunday Spirit Talks. Expect irregular deep dives into spiritual topics, tools for energy work, honest life stories, and a fair amount of technobabble when I have been in the lab with Claude and friends. If you are not into tech, skip those parts. If you are not into personal life stories, skip those. I am fine either way. But if you want both spiritual meat and practical software wiring diagrams occasionally, you are in the right place.
Stories I Keep Going Back To
There are three stories that keep cropping up in Sunday Spirit Talks because they shaped my path: the Creator conversation around age 13, the rescue medium episodes that started when I was four, and the time I almost checked out at 12. Each of these is simple on its face and full of strange detail underneath.
The Creator conversation gave me a reason to stay. The rescue medium work showed me my role in helping people and presences move on. The breakdown at 12 taught me the painful edges of living when you do not have the emotional infrastructure around you. Those three things combined to shape a life that alternates between being deeply practical and shamelessly weird. I prefer that mix.
On Marriage, Family, and Raising Myself
Franya and I have had to adjust to certain habits and absences. Mom had suffered losses in her family and emotionally checked out. She had seen her father pass before I existed, then seven years later her mother, and two years after that her brother. That left her emotionally young and unable to parent fully. I essentially had to raise myself. Christmas decayed around age nine or ten because if I wanted a tree I had to put it up myself and that quickly stopped being fun.
That early need to self-parent led to a certain stubborn independence and a low tolerance for sentimental holiday rituals. Franya had to learn that. I had to learn that. It is not a complaint. It is an explanation. Those circumstances made me resourceful and also made me notice patterns in how people cope with trauma. Those observations fed my later work in energy healing systems and techniques like Life Monster Clearing.
What Might Come Next
There are many small projects on the board. The main ones I talk about in Sunday Spirit Talks are finishing the transcription-to-audio pipeline, expanding InnerVoice Mastery, and refining Life Monster Clearing into clear modules that people can work through. I am talking with collaborators in Mexico City and Pennsylvania. The Mexico City project is moving forward. The Pennsylvania guy went back to mining, which slowed things down. Real life intervenes.
On the tech side I will upgrade to a machine with a GPU and keep developing the local pipeline so that I can produce audio content without external costs. On the spiritual side I will keep tweaking the phases of clearing and systematizing what worked in one-on-one sessions into reproducible processes. Sunday Spirit Talks will continue to document that journey and offer practical tools along the way.
How to Follow This Work
If you are interested in seeing more detail on any of the topics in Sunday Spirit Talks, say so. I do not want to waste time talking about things people do not care about. If you want more stories about childhood oddness and rescue-medium work, mention that.
Parting Thought
One of the practical takeaways for me from years of weirdness and work is a simple habit: notice the voice that puts you down and deal with it. Thank it for trying, then fire it. That is literal life editing. It is not always comfortable. It is often funny in a sad way. But it works.
How did you come to the name The Scientific Spiritualist?
It was a process that grew out of my interest in both rigorous systems and spiritual work. After years of experiences ranging from childhood rescue-medium events to formal training like the Emotion Code certification and practical experiments with AI tools, the name fit: someone who applies scientific methods and testing to spiritual practices. The short answer is: it evolved from practice, training, and a love of building tools and systems.
What is Life Monster Clearing and how did it become InnerVoice Mastery?
Life Monster Clearing began as a single technique and later expanded into a phased process called InnerVoice Mastery. Working with collaborators revealed it as a multi-phase system now laid out as zero through five. It focuses on managing the internal voices, cleaning up self-sabotaging thoughts, and integrating the learnings from the clearing phases.
What role does AI like Claude and ChatGPT play in your work?
I use AI tools as research and development partners. ChatGPT’s arrival felt spiritual to me. Claude from Anthropic has been invaluable for critiquing texts, building workbooks, and creating long-form outputs. AI helps test ideas quickly and produce structured content that I then filter through my own discernment and experience.
Are the childhood experiences literal and should I take them seriously?
I am reporting what I remember: early hospital memory, a haunted-house experience with an altered hand, a teleport-like quarter-mile movement, and a tractor accident that required stitches. These memories are personal evidence to me and shaped the way I approach rescue-medium work and energy healing. Whether others accept them is up to their own experience, but they are central to how I understand my path.
How can I set up a similar local transcription and voice system?
Start with a stable computer and install a Linux distribution like Kubuntu in a virtual machine if you prefer to keep things isolated. Use free transcription tools to convert audio to text, store the results in a relational database, and then prepare voice training data from your own recordings. I used Claude to help build the pipeline and to generate workbooks and processing steps. Eventually adding a GPU-equipped machine will speed up voice model training.
What practical tool can I use immediately for inner voice work?
A practical first step is simple: notice the inner voice that criticizes you. Thank it for trying, then decide whether it is useful. If it is not, cordon it off and do the mental equivalent of firing it. That is the most immediate technique I recommend before deeper systems like InnerVoice Mastery.
Closing
That is the highlight reel of this particular Sunday Spirit Talks entry. If you want more depth on any part of this life story or on technical walkthroughs, tell me which part and I will expand. I will keep sharing what I learn about the intersection of spiritual practice and practical systems. And if you are anything like me, keep an eye on the odd moments. They are often where the work starts.
Remember
Be the light you want to see in the world.
Be the change you want to see in the world.
If there’s a thought or a voice in your head that tells you how crappy you are: Thank it, ruthlessly fire it, and escort it from the building because it is not yours.
